Eric D. Boyd Invited to Present on Emerging Development Technologies at This Year’s Heartland Developer Conference
CHICAGO, IL, August 29, 2012 — September 5th-7th will mark Omaha Nebraska’s ninth annual Heartland Developer Conference (HDC) and Eric D. Boyd, Founder and CEO of responsiveX, will be presenting on developing HTML5 applications in the Cloud. Eric’s HTML5+Cloud Hands-on-Lab sold out quickly, and as a result, he will also present an abbreviated one-hour breakout session on Thursday, September 6th at 10:15am for those who could not attend the Hands-on-Lab.
HTML5 is an emerging technology with growing adoption and support. At the end of last year, Strategy Analytics predicted by 2013, worldwide sales of HTML5-enabled mobile devices will reach a billion units, which will triple the 2011 count of 336 million devices. “With the increasing adoption of HTML5 in the browser, the growing number of HTML5 enabled mobile devices and the organizational pressure to increase agility, HTML5 and Cloud Computing are two very important innovations for today’s software developers.” Eric said. “HTML5 is not only significant in the browser, but it is gaining momentum for native app development too using tools like PhoneGap and even vendor supported app development with Microsoft’s Windows 8.”
HDC started as a one day event in Des Moines, Iowa back in 2003 with only 100 attendees. Last year, HDC grew to over 600 attendees and is expecting similar attendance this year. HDC is a quality event that is on par with the most prestigious events in the tech industry. “I’m honored to have been invited to present at this year’s Heartland Developer Conference” said Eric. “HDC is one of the leading software development conferences in the Midwest and I’m excited to share my knowledge and experiences on developing HTML5 and Cloud apps with this year’s attendees.”
Along with Eric’s Hands-on-Lab and breakout session, there are a number of other HTML5, Cloud, Web and Mobile development sessions, including Friday’s opening keynote with Joe Stagner.
