Eric D. Boyd Hosts Expert Cloud Panel at CloudDevelop 2012

CHICAGO, IL, July 31, 2012 — On Friday, August 3rd in Columbus Ohio, Eric D. Boyd will help answer your tough and challenging questions on cloud computing. Eric will moderate a lunchtime panel at CloudDevelop 2012, with some of the industry’s leading cloud computing experts. The panel is made up of public and private cloud experts, as well as authorities on the non-technical, business-related challenges that become a factor when moving to the cloud. The expert panelists are excited to provide their perspective and insight from real-world experiences for the CloudDevelop attendees.

CloudDevelop is one of the Midwest’s premier conferences for cloud technologies and application development. CloudDevelop has lined-up more than twenty highly knowledgeable and experienced cloud computing leaders in the tech industry to speak and present on a range of cloud computing topics. “There are lots of exciting ideas percolating in the market – driving innovation forward.  The velocity of change in the cloud is dramatically faster than traditional platforms. In many ways, cloud computing is still a maturing market.” says Michael Collier, founder of CloudDevelop. “The wide mix of cloud computing professionals at CloudDevelop provides all attendees an excellent opportunity to share and learn from each other.

In addition to hosting the panel, Eric is also one of the event organizers and is excited to have a conference like CloudDevelop in the Midwest. “I’m passionate about cloud computing and the benefits it provides for both small startups and large enterprise companies. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of confusion around cloud computing for decision makers, IT professionals and application developers.” Eric said, “Conferences like CloudDevelop provide a forum to learn more about cloud computing and get answers to questions. I’m excited to have been involved in bringing CloudDevelop to the Midwest.”

CloudDevelop 2012 will be held Friday, August 3rd in Columbus, Ohio at Ohio State University’s Ohio Union. Many industry experts will be at CloudDevelop presenting and will be available to answer questions. responsiveX Founder Eric D. Boyd Receives Microsoft MVP Award

Eric D. Boyd Awarded Microsoft’s Prestigious MVP Award for His Contributions and Industry Leadership in Microsoft’s Cloud Platform, Windows Azure.

CHICAGO, IL, July 18, 2012 — responsiveX, a Chicago-based management and technology consultancy, announced today that Eric D. Boyd, Founder and CEO of responsiveX, was awarded Microsoft’s prestigious Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award. Microsoft MVP awards are given to the industry’s top technology professionals who actively share their expert knowledge, real world expertise and technical skills with others. Eric joins 13 other Windows Azure MVPs in the United States, and is currently the only Windows Azure MVP located in Microsoft’s Midwest District, which includes Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.

MVPs are nominated by fellow technical community members, current and former MVPs, and Microsoft employees who take note of their industry leadership. Nominees undergo a rigorous, formal review process and the review panel considers the quality, quantity and impact of each nominee’s contributions over the past twelve months. When not consulting for some of the world’s largest Fortune 1000 companies and recognized household brands, Eric can often be found giving back to the technical community by speaking at conferences and leading discussions on cloud computing, Windows Azure, mobile and web development, software architecture and entrepreneurship.

“I am truly honored to receive this MVP award. I have been working with Windows Azure since the first announcement at Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference (PDC) in September of 2008,” says Boyd “I am passionate about cloud computing and Windows Azure which is why I spend many evenings and weekends helping others learn about Windows Azure and other Microsoft technologies.”

Eric was part of a select group of 121 new MVPs announced in April. While there are more than 100 million members of the technical community worldwide, only 4,000 of those are awarded Microsoft MVPs each year. MVPs come from more than 90 countries, speak over 40 different languages and are awarded in more than 90 Microsoft technologies. Collectively, Microsoft MVPs answer more than 10 million questions on Microsoft products annually. The exclusive MVP community is invited by Microsoft to collaborate directly with Microsoft product teams and provide feedback from their real world experiences to help shape future Microsoft products and services.
